About the Rostorfer’s

JAY & CAREY ROSTORFER: MISSIONARIES TO MADAGASCAR.

Jay and Carey Rostorfer are involved in church planting and evangelism, as well as teaching and training church leaders for full-time ministry.

Jay spends much of his time training local churches in personal evangelism, as well as holding evangelistic crusades in the cities as well as in the bush. Throughout the year he also teaches in the Bible School, helping to train and equip future Pastors for the work of the ministry. He also is the National Commander for the Royal Rangers ministry, that works with boys and girls across the island in a Christian based scouting program.

Carey is actively involved in the training and dicsipleship of the Women (including Pastors, Pastor’s wives, and laiety) of the Assemblies of God. She is also very invloved in the training and development of Praise & Worship ministries in the churches. In addition, she also holds english clubs twice a month as a way to encourage the church.

“As veteran missionaries of more than 10 years in Madagascar, we are excited to continue to represent our supporters and partners to the people of Madagascar.”

“After 12 years of Pastoral ministry in the USA before becoming missionaries, first as a youth pastor and then as a church planter (Jay served as senior pastor in Napoleon, Ohio and youth pastor in Bellefontaine, Ohio), we know God prepared us for this area of ministry. We know that as we partner with each church, to receive the financial and spiritual support that is so needed for us to do our work, that God will continue to cause us to prosper in this vital area of the world.”

“Carey and I have both always known that we were called into the ministry of World Missions. Carey’s call came through her own experiences, as she was rescued as an orphan out of war-torn Vietnam in 1975. As a missionary risked his life to save her life and that of 22 other children, she has always had the desire to reach out to others in a similar fashion. I’ve known I was called into the ministry since I was 11 years old and felt the call to World Missons as a result of a mission’s trip to Haiti at the age of 16.”
